Mississippi Foreclosures For Sale

With few exceptions, the state of Mississippi will not offer you a very good opportunity to get foreclosed property. So if you are in the market to buy land or a home, this is a state that you might do better if you walked away from.

The real estate disaster facing the rest of the country is only sitting at 0.011 percent in the month of December. That means that he entire month of December, a total of 132 homes entered foreclosure in the state of Mississippi.

Compare that, if you will, to the state of California in December where a staggering 89,500 new properties entered the foreclosure market. That should give you a good indication to the lack of crisis going on in Mississippi.

Yes you certainly can find some property here if you are set on owning one Mississippi foreclosures for sale. You can actually find some nice, fairly new construction near major cities in nice subdivisions for a nice low price. The problem you might face here is that when the crisis is over and you want to sell out, there might not be as avid a market as you might find in a more popular and desired location.

This is not to say that there is not an exception to the rule, there certainly may be a diamond in the rough out there that will be a great low cost property that will bring a nice profit for you when the market turns back and people start buying again. That however will be the exception rather than the rule.

The state of Mississippi has done well at staying away and avoiding major issues with the banks and as a result the foreclosures here are going to be less that enviable and that is good news for the people that live there but not so good of news for anyone looking to buy quickly.
